Sorry I haven't created a new post in a while. I have not visited anyone's blog in several days. This morning there was ice everywhere. If it was outside it was frozen and encased in ice. The trampoline was covered in ice and you could not bend it very easily unless you got on it but you could not jump very high and if you tried you would slip. I do not have or need a picture because yall most likely experienced the same thing.

Yea, our tramp was covered in ice too. JC jumped on it to break it all and then he and I made "ice balls".
Did you hear about Lidge getting a raise? Talk about wrong!

Maybe the raise will inspire him to play better. I unlike most people still believe in Brad Lidge and always have, JC Jaron Benjamin and Missy.

What?! I TOTALLY believe in him!! But can you really say that his performance last year (5. ERA and bunch of dingers) merits a raise? A 1.5 mill raise at that? I still believe in him amd I'll root for him all season, but if he doesn't improve... I'll be OK with the Astros finding a replacement closer. If that does ever happen, I'd love to keep Lidge as a setup man. I am totally a Lidge fan!

Peter, Roger Clemens is a pitcher. But he's not just a pitcher. He's the best pitcher in baseball right now and one of the best ever. He is certainly a future hall of famer. Thats who Roger Clemens is. (see Brooke, it wasn't that bad. I didn't even give a bio! You had nothing to worry about)
Oh BTW, he's 44, 6'4'',235 lbs, he's got 4 kids, he lives in Houston, one of his kids plays in the Astros minor league system, he's won 7 Cy Young awards, he's played for the Red Sox, Yankees, and most recently, the Astros, Andy Pettitte is one of his best friends... you DO know who Andy Pettitte is right? Shall I go into that? :):):)

There's no shame in calling baseball players (or any professional sport for that matter) names. That's what their paid the millions for. If they want to pay me that much money people can call me absolutley anything they want. When we were at the world series game, the whole crowd (my Dad leading them) were making some serious fun of their pitcher when he went up to bat (since he never batted before the World Series). "Hey "his name", you see that stick, its called a bat, you hit the ball with it." And when he was up to bat "Here it comes! Get ready! It's coming fast! Oh my Goodness! STRIKE 3!!!!!!". Then as he was walking off, "Left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, SIT DOWN!!!!" It was hillarious, my mom was embarassed. It was great.

i have heard of roger clemens before and knew he was on the astros (or was pretty sure):) and i have to agree with Jagdgeschwader this is a VERY boring blog soeey zach but post something even slightly apealing please! well i guess i just contridicted my "NO HATERS ALOUD" post but make a good post!!!!

When you're as bad as he is, and still get paid the big bucks, you deserve to have a little name calling. Wasn't he the one pitching when Pujols hit that famous homer??? Uh hu I think he was. Lidge the Loser Lost the Game for us. Not to mention several other games that we were ahead, put him in, and lost the game. I have no loyalty whatsoever for that man. The team as a whole maybe, but not him.
Oh, come on John! You think he WANTED to give up that HR? Give him a break! Nobody is perfect! And the only reason he is getting paid mega bucks is cause someone is WILLING to pay him.
whether he wanted to or not, he still did. If he's gonna get paid that much he shouldn't let things like that happen. And whoever is paying him that much is more dumb than he is terrible. Because he gives up a few HRs and blows only 6 games makes him terrible? I don't think that merits the title Lidge the Looser. We win as a TEAM and we loose as a TEAM. You can NEVER blame one player for a loss. That is wrong.
(arguing is rather fun. I've already argued this topic with Trey before- I wrote paragraphs and paragraphs of and I looked up all sorts of stats to support Lidge. However, I must admit to using the title Looser Lidge several times this year in moments of weakness. :))
I agree with winning and losing as a team. But specifically he is responsible, when we're up, we put him in, he gives up runs, and then we lose because of it. It's the same thing when I was playing basketball. If we are down by 1 point, and I miss a wide open layup with three seconds to go, I am specifically responsible for the loss. Even though the whole team lost, it was my fault. Or if I fail to effectively guard my man, and he gets by me and makes some easy points that put them up at the very end of the game. I am specifically responsible for the loss of that game even though ulitmately the whole team lost. Now I wasn't called John the loser when that happened, because I'm just short fat white boy that can't jump and doesn't get paid anything. But when you make it into the pros and get paid millions and millions of dollars to throw a stupid white ball, you better throw it right, and he didn't. Therefore, he is now dubbed Lidge the loser.
Ok, I didn't understand a word you said about the basketball stuff, but I got your point. But I'm not convinced that Lidge is a looser. Anyway, as I've already argued this point before, this is getting really old. Sorry! Twas fun while it lasted. I'm very stubborn and won't be changing my opinion of Lidge unless he totally blows this year. :) I'm praying that he won't. Call my phone if you ever want an update! :):):)
LOL. I will. Very well, you have argued your case very well and just about have me convinced. I'm kind of tired of aguing too. It's not my favorite thing to do. I try to live with as little conflict as possible. But every now and then I'll start something just for the fun of it :-) Zach you can make a new post now.

I, Render Moonarrow, have decided to go on a long quest to reunite those who are HBF bloggers. In so doing I hope that this summer everyone that is a HBF Blogger will return to blogging.
I guess I understand why blogging has been stopped especially since January started and so did school.
Yet when summer comes which is only four months away I hope that all will return.
